# Themes

> The four looks of the dashboard (Day, Night, Rose and Ocean), where to switch between them, and how your choice follows you to other devices.

The dashboard comes in four looks. Pick the one that is easiest on your eyes.

| Theme | Look |
| --- | --- |
| Day | The light look. |
| Night | The dark look. |
| Rose | A light look with a soft rose tint. |
| Ocean | A dark look: deep navy with teal highlights. |

## Switch themes

- **In the dashboard:** open your account menu in the header and find
**Theme**. It shows the four themes as small tiles. With a mouse, hover over
a tile to preview it on the whole page. Move away and the page goes back.
Click a tile to keep it. On a phone, or with the keyboard, there is no
preview: tap, or press Enter or Space, to choose.
- **From the command palette:** open it with Cmd+K (Ctrl+K on Windows) and
  pick a theme by name.

## Your choice follows you

The theme you keep is saved to your account, not only to the browser. Sign in
on another computer or a phone and the dashboard opens in the same look. If you
change it on one device, your other devices pick it up the next time they load.

The theme is yours. Other people in your workspace keep their own.

## Reduce transparency

Some themes use see-through layers. If your computer or phone is set to
**reduce transparency**, the dashboard makes those layers solid and drops the
blur behind them. Nothing else changes. Turn the setting off in your system
settings to get the layers back.
